On 17 December 2024, in recognition of the hard work and dedication shown by our employees throughout the year, Santomas Sdn Bhd allocated a special budget to host a tea party on our company premises. The event was designed to offer a full experience where all employees, including shift workers and those in roles that typically require them to remain on-site, could join together with their colleagues and enjoy the appreciation that Santomas Sdn Bhd has for their contributions. In previous employee appreciation events, some shift workers and on-site staff were unable to attend the trips and events due to their work schedules. This time, however, every employee was able to attend the tea party, and the event was made even more exciting and engaging with the addition of a lucky draw. A variety of prizes, including tablets, smartwatches, hampers, and cash, were offered during the lucky draw, all funded by the company’s budget.

Mr. Chua Ah Lay, the Managing Director also attended the event, going out of his way to travel back from Santomas Joint Stock Company in Vietnam specifically to join the celebration. His presence, along with his speech, which emphasized the company’s commitment to being employee-oriented and expressing gratitude toward the employees, was both inspiring and appreciated by all attendees. The time spent with the employees are also memorable and special with Mr. Chua Ah Lay joining the employees for tea break during work.

Through this event, employees had the opportunity to strengthen their relationships with colleagues while also allowing the company to demonstrate its appreciation for their hard work. It was a meaningful annual occasion that reinforced the value each employee brings to the company, contributing to their sense of self-worth and fostering a deeper sense of employees’ belonging within the organization.
